I love paranormal romance and I love horror. I think the two can be combined easily. In fact, I think when they are it makes for darkly gripping fiction.
The dark is addictive. The world of the undead fascinates us, it does me! It always has and will. Vampires are sexual, wanton beings and I like them placed in stories where they 'live' up to what they are.
This series is the darkest Gothic/paranormal romance you will find. The first novel invites you to view the murder-suicide by an incestuous father. That sets everything in motion, the second and third novels contain the confessions of a demon who swears his love is real for the heroine. The fourth book is about the heroine's adopted daughter falling in love with Dracula. That is deeply romantic, albeit darkly! What else would sex with Dracula be but that?
Remember, it's all dark stuff I write because the dark intrigues and frightens me.
